Our Philosophy

As a Fitness Nurse, I am dedicated to a complete healthy lifestyle which encompasses all aspects of one’s life including the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual realm.  I believe that our bodies were designed to be active and to move for total health.  I believe that our bodies were designed eat whole foods instead of processed, chemical laden foods to run properly and optimally.
Every single individual is different and therefore, I am not an advocate of a certain diet or supplement plan but encourage lifestyle changes, healthy choices, common sense thinking, and eating lots of wholesome, nourishing foods.
I encourage my clients to begin to make healthy food choices and search for healthy recipes and try them out.  I discourage any type of “starvation” diet or the labeling of foods as “good” and “bad”.
As a fitness nurse, I stand behind the Exercise is Medicine TM program which is an initiative managed by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).  This initiative is backed by the American Medical Association (AMA) and the Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association (PCNA) and has the following vision:  To make physical activity and exercise a standard part of disease prevention and treatment paradigm in the United States.  I love the idea that “Exercise is Medicine”.   The benefits of exercise are numerous.  My goal as a fitness nurse is to utilize my knowledge and to assist you with the following goals:
